Edward III

The Arden Shakespeare series, the leading publisher of William Shakespeare's works, has taken a new play into its canon. "Edward III," a 400-year-old work attributed to "?", has been recognized by Arden as largely, but not wholly, from Shakespeare's pen. The publisher used computer analysis of the play's text and language to verify its main source. Oxford scholars are holding out, but the play has been added to Shakespeare editions by Cambridge University Press and American Riverside Press.

"Edward III" tells the story of the first campaigns of the Hundred Years War and is likely one of the Bard's earliest works.
